Creative spins and Disney wins!

On Tuesday, we dove into the world of independent comics with our workshop, Plot Twist! Our fantastic group of Young Carers spent the day bringing their creativity to life. With options to design a striking cover, dream up original characters, storyboard their own comic, or complete a full one-page story, each young artist chose their own adventure. After a quick intro and some lively discussion, it was heads down and pencils up as ideas sprang to life across the room.

To keep the energy high, we took a break with a game of 'And Then…'—a narrative rollercoaster where each twist was more outrageous than the last, sparking tons of laughter as the story spiralled.

On Wednesday, we shifted gears for a Halloween classic: The Haunted Mansion! Snacks in hand, we all settled in to watch Eddie Murphy take on some spine-chilling (and sometimes hilarious) supernatural guests. There were gasps, laughs, and the occasional squeal as our Young Carers found themselves both captivated and creeped out. Nothing like a little spooky fun to round out an incredible half term week!
